Experience the historic beauty of Dublin, Ireland's enchanting capital city, for four days and three nights on our optional weekend excursion. Stay close to the city centre at Dublin City University All Hallows campus, established in 1592. Follow famous Irish writers’ footsteps on the Dublin Literary Pub Crawl, tour of the Guinness Storehouse at St. James’ Gate and take in a theatre performance at the historic Abbey Theatre. Program activities in the past have a included tours of the Guinness Brewery, The Book of Kells, a backstage tour of The Abbey, performances at The Abbey and Gate Theatres, a Literary Pub Crawl and more. There will be plenty of individual time for visits to the James Joyce House, Trinity College, Dublin Writer's Museum, National Gallery or any of the other attractions in one of the world's great literary and cultural centers. West Ireland

Pack your hiking shoes and explore Ireland’s verdant countryside on our weekend excursion to Western Ireland. We depart from Cork and head to Ross Castle, a 15th century tower house on the edge of Killarney National Park in County Kerry. From there we board boats and take a scenic ride before lunch at Lord Brandon’s. After lunch we will hike the famous Gap of Dunloe. Participants can opt to take a jaunting car (horse and buggy) instead. We’ll enjoy a traditional Irish dinner (you earned it!) at Kate Kearney’s Cottage. Past participants have enjoyed two nights in Dingle and Galway with daytrips to Sleigh Head Peninsula and the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher before returning to Cork.

Cost: $350
