University operations will resume as normal tomorrow July 18.)

Dear Colleagues, 

We continue to monitor the weather as a potential tropical depression moves into the Gulf. We will offer an abbreviated Registration Day tomorrow that will end by noon. In-person classes that meet before noon on Thursday will be held, though we ask that instructors provide flexibility to students that may not be able to arrive on time or travel safely to campus. In-person classes that meet after noon on Thursday will shift to online/virtual instruction.

It is too soon to make a determination for campus operations on Friday, but we plan to remain in contact with emergency management professionals and will endeavor to communicate plans for Friday as soon as possible (likely on Thursday afternoon). If on-campus operations resume Friday, staff who have been impacted by the storm should check in with their supervisors to discuss remote work options.
