Severe Weather Alert:
The University will resume classes and normal operations Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Dear Campus Community,
Hurricane Sally’s projected track has shifted to the east, toward the Mississippi/Alabama border, where it is expected to make landfall early Wednesday morning. Louisiana is no longer under a hurricane warning and metro New Orleans is no longer under a tropical storm warning. The effects to metro New Orleans should be limited to some strong wind gusts and increased tidal surge.
The University will resume classes and normal operations Wednesday, Sept. 16. If there are any unforeseen changes to our plans, we will alert you. During events such as these, I am grateful for the professionalism and flexibility of our faculty and staff and the understanding of our students. Please keep our neighbors to our east along the Gulf Coast in your thoughts as they brace for Hurricane Sally.
