GoPrint Management System

The GoPrint Multi-Platform, Self-Service, Cost Recovery, Pay-For-Print Management System is designed exclusively for Public Access, Higher Education Environments, Libraries and Computer Centers. It provides state-of the-art ease of use, a customizable user interface, Web Client Popup, extensive print rules, built-in and exportable reports and an extensive array of powerful features and functions.

The University of New Orleans implemented this print management system in all open Technology Fee Computer Labs to help manage printing more efficiently. Printouts are $0.05 per page.

  • How do I register for GoPrint?

    No registration is necessary or required. When a print request is issued a new screen will pop up. Just log in using your UNO credentials, select the print job, and click the pay and print button.

    Library Guests log in with the username/password specified on the monitor and on the GoPrint screen.

  • What password do I use to log into GoPrint?

    UNO users: Use the same username and password as the one for WebSTAR.

    UNO guests: Use the one specified on the monitor and on the GoPrint screen.

  • How long are printouts kept?

    Print jobs left in a user's print queue will be disposed of after two (2) hours. Physical Printouts will be disposed of after seven (7) days of being held by the computer lab's staff.

  • Why do I have a $5.00 balance?

    That is the free quota students are allowed each semester. This will decline as pages are printed.

  • How much do printouts cost?

    Printouts are $0.05 a page. If pages are printed on both sides, it is $0.05 for each printed side.

    If you are having problems printing, please see a lab assistant in the front of the lab. If the lab does not have an assistant, ask in the the Library Learning Commons by the print stations.

  • Does the (blue) banner page cost $0.05, too?

    There is no charge for the banner page.

  • Why am I being charged for printing?

    Printing volume and costs have climbed exponentially. Rising costs of supplies, unbounded printing, and a more than 25% waste factor necessitates a minimal printing charge to reduce waste, recover some costs for paper and toner, and contain unbounded printing.

  • How do I add money to my GoPrint account?

    Click the "Add Value" button. You will be directed to a page where you may use a credit card to put money in your GoPrint account. This will instantly appear in your the account.

    If you are a student, you may (also) go to the Bursars' counter and add money to your GoPrint account, in person. This can take up to 2 business hours (M-F 8:30 a.m. -4:00 p.m.) to appear in the account.

  • I just added money to my account. Where is it?

    Click the Next Purse button. Any money placed in your account either online or through the Bursar will be in your Personal Funds account. The UNO Allowance is the free quota each student receives at the beginning of each semester. The UNO Allowance account begins each semester with the free quota and no carry over. The money in the Personal Funds account is carried over to the next semester.

  • Can I get an account balance refund?

    Any money placed in your account either online or through the Bursar will be in your Personal Funds account. The money in the Personal Funds account is carried over to the next semester and is available to you as long as you are an actively enrolled student. Any money left in your Personal Funds account will be lost upon graduation or if you are not actively enrolled at the University of New Orleans for at least 3 consecutive semesters. No account balance refunds can be issued at any time.

  • How do I request a credit for a bad printout?

    Requests may be made for bad pages that are printed due to toner problems, printer jams, etc. Print Credit Requests must be turned in on the same day the document printed. If the lab is staffed, the user must turn in the damaged pages to the Lab Assistant handing out printouts. If the lab is not staffed, the user must turn in the damaged pages to the Lab Assistant handing out printouts in the Library Learning Commons. The request will be reviewed within three business days (Monday through Friday). If it is determined that a credit is owed, then it will be applied to your printing account, enabling you to print an equivalent number of pages at no charge. The decision regarding your request for credit will be e-mailed to your account.

    There are no refunds for Library Guest accounts.
