Accreditation

SACSCOCThe University of New Orleans is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. The University of New Orleans also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. The Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org under the General Criteria and the Mechanical Engineering and Similarly Named Program Criteria. 

The Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org under the General Criteria and the Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering and Similarly Named Program Criteria. 

The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org under the General Criteria and the Electrical, Computer, Communications, Telecommunication(s) and Similarly Named Program Criteria. 

The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org under the General Criteria and the Civil Engineering and Similarly Named Program Criteria. 

Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB-International)
The College of Business Administration is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA)

The Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management is accredited by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA).

Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP)
The programs in the Department of Counselor Education are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs.

Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP)
The Teacher Education and Educational Leadership programs in the College of Education and Human Development are accredited the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD)
The University of New Orleans is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.

National Association of Schools of Music (NASM)
The University of New Orleans is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music.

National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST)
The University of New Orleans is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Theatre.

Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA)
The Master's of Public Administration program is accredited by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration.

Planning Accreditation Board (PAB)
The Master's of Urban & Regional Planning program is accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board.
