Accreditation

SACSCOCThe University of New Orleans is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. Program Accreditation

The University of New Orleans is categorized as an SREB Four-Year 2 institution, as a Carnegie Doctoral, High Research University, and as a SACSCOC Level VI institution. The University of New Orleans is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degrees. 

Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
Undergraduate programs in the Dr. Robert A. Savoie College of Engineering and Department of Computer Science are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB-International)
The College of Business Administration is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP)
The programs in the Department of Counselor Education are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs.

National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD)
The programs in Fine Arts are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.

National Association of Schools of Music (NASM)
The programs in Music are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.

National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST)
The Department of Film and Theater is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre.

National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)
The Teacher Education and Educational Leadership programs in the College of Education and Human Development are accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, currently known as the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA)
The Master's of Public Administration program is accredited by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration.

Planning Accreditation Board (PAB)
The Master's of Urban & Regional Planning program is accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board.
