Background
Dr. Olof H. (Olie) Lundberg, Ph.D., has been on the faculty of the University of New Orleans since 1971. He received his Ph.D. from The Pennsylvania State University. He has served as Senior Associate Dean in the College of Business Administration since 2014.
He served as Chair of the Department of Management at the University of New Orleans for 24 years. In 2012, Dr. Lundberg was named the Annette Weinberg Bernstein Chair in University Management. Dr. Lundberg's experience outside of a university setting includes working at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C., on a Federal Faculty Fellowship sponsored by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business. Dr. Lundberg revised the management information and control system of the NASA Office of Space Science. His revisions involved simplifying and streamlining a cumbersome reporting process. Dr. Lundberg created a long range planning model for Region III public school systems. Applications of this model are not limited to school systems. Dr. Lundberg has done other consulting work involving analyzing and revising management systems. In addition to university management, Dr. Lundberg's research interests include strategic management, planning and control.
