About

Dr. Elnaz Safapour is an assistant professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and in particular in the Urban Construction Management program at the University of New Orleans (UNO). Before joining UNO, she was a postdoctoral associate at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. She has been involved in different federal and state research projects on various construction and reconstruction topics, including critical infrastructure resilience. She also has published over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceeding papers, including the ASCE Journal of Management in Engineering. She has been a reviewer in different peer-reviewed journals and received multiple awards.
