Part 1: New Student Experience Day

By attending the New Student Experience Day on January 8th, you will get familiar with campus, learn about UNO resources, get advised, and enroll in classes.

This event is for admitted undergraduate students. NSE Day is required for first-time, first-year students and transfer students with less than 60 credit hours. 

Sign-ups will open in November 2025.

To ensure a smooth NSE Day, please make sure you complete the Accepted Student Check-List by January 5th.

Part 2: Online Orientation Modules

The Online Orientation Modules are a supplemental guide to help you get started at UNO! New students are required to complete the Modules by January 23, 2026.You can only complete the modules AFTER you enroll in Spring 2026 classes.  

How to complete the modules:  

1. Log into Canvas with your UNO username and password. Click here to log in directly to the modules.  
2. Click “Start Orientation Modules” to begin. Use the Next button at the bottom of each page to move through the content.
3. On the conclusion page, you will certify your completion. You will only be allowed to certify if you have read through every page in the orientation modules.

To gain credit for completing the modules, you must read through each of the pages. If you need to stop and come back later, click Modules in the left course navigation menu to find your place and continue where you left off. It should take about 30 minutes to complete.
