Check Your Room Assignment

• Residents may preview their housing information, including room assignment and roommates prior to moving in on their Residential Life App found on My Apps.

Pack Your Items

• Be sure to review the suggested packing list and familiarize yourself with items that are not permitted in Pontchartrain Halls for a smooth and hassle-free move-in experience.

Select a Move-In Date/Time

• Select your preferred move-in time from the available options provided beforehand on your Residence Life app, ensuring a convenient and organized start to your residence hall experience! 

During Move-In Week

Have Your UNO ID Ready

• Make sure you have your UNO ID card handy, which you can obtain during summer orientation for new students or at the ID center.

Meet Your Neighbors

• Get to know your roommate(s) and neighbors, establishing a sense of community within the residence hall. 
• Participate in welcome events organized by the residence halls or university.

Understand Building Policies

• Review the residence hall policies outlined in the handbook and housing agreement to ensure full understanding and compliance with the rules and regulations set by the institution.

Mandatory Floor Meetings

Attend mandatory floor meetings hosted by Resident Assistants (RAs) to familiarize yourself with building policies, safety procedures, and community guidelines.

Be sure to keep an eye out on your email inbox, posted flyers, and other forms of communication.

Room Condition Reports

Complete a Room Condition Report (RCRs) on the housing self-service app to document the condition of your room upon move-in, ensuring accountability and resolving any discrepancies later.

RCRs may be found on your Residential Life app on My Apps.

Suite Mate Agreements

Take the opportunity to create a suite mate agreement with your suite mates, establishing clear expectations and fostering a harmonious living environment for all residents.

RAs will reach out to suites to help facilitate these meetings.
