COMMON TROUBLESHOOTING SOLUTIONS

  • Air Conditioner Thermostat

Thermostats in Pontchartrain Halls are configured to offer students a temperature adjustment range from 68 to 75 degrees. This setting aims to maintain dehumidification within the suites, preventing moisture buildup. To increase warmth, adjust the thermostat to a higher temperature, activating the heating function. For cooling, set the thermostat to 68, activating the cooling function.

If you've adjusted the thermostat and continue to experience issues with your Air Conditioning/Heating unit, please submit a work order through the Residential Life app.

  • Short-term Rental Laptops

The Office of Residential Life staff has short-term laptop rentals to enhance the living experience in Pontchartrain Halls.

  • Storage Options

Residential Life does not provide storage services for residents' belongings between contracts. It is essential for residents to ensure that their suites or assignments are fully packed and emptied upon completion of their contract. Please make necessary arrangements to store personal belongings elsewhere during periods between contracts. This ensures a smooth transition for all residents and facilitates the effective turnover of living spaces.

Explore StorageUnits.com for valuable tips on preparing and locating storage options.

Collegeboxes.com, owned by U-Haul International, Inc., offers secure, climate-controlled storage for students' belongings. The service fee covers the transportation of items to and from campus, including boxes and packing supplies.
