Fall 2024 Courses and Accounts Delayed in Canvas
- New UNO user accounts, fall courses, and fall course enrollments are being managed in Workday, which is still in development. Since we need to ensure all this information seamlessly transfers to Canvas, Fall courses are not yet available in Canvas.
For current faculty
-
If you're teaching a course you have already taught in Canvas or one for which you already have a Master Course, you can edit that content and then import it to the Fall 2024 course shell once those are in Canvas.
-
If you have a new prep, you can use your Sandbox course or request a new Sandbox and/or Master Course to prep your course and then import it into the Fall 2024 course shell when once those are in Canvas.
For new hires or returning adjuncts who have not taught since we adopted Canvas
-
Once your UNO user accounts are created or re-activated, you can email us at canvas@uno.edu with your name, email address and employee ID number so we can manually add your UNO user account to Canvas.
-
You can then request a Sandbox course and/or Master Course to work on your Fall course content while waiting for the Fall 2024 course shells.
IT and Accenture are on top of the Workday issues and working hard to ensure a smooth transition from Peoplesoft. We’ll keep you up to date if anything changes.
