The Center for Teaching Innovation offers workshops in all of our teaching tools, as well one-on-one training and help in any area of instructional design, online course evaluation, and course development.

Deep Dive: Videos in Teams and Panopto

Fri., August 22, 10am-11am, Teams

With the move from Zoom to Teams, video management has changed. This session will walk you through how to download recordings from Teams, upload them to Panopto, add or edit captions, and embed them into Canvas. We’ll also provide a quick refresher on using Panopto and Canvas together and show how videos can support assignments and boost student engagement. Whether you're adjusting to the new workflow or just need a reset, this session will help you feel more confident heading into the semester.

Deep Dive: Turn It In Options

Thurs., August 28, 12pm-1pm, Teams

Turnitin updated over the summer! UNO now offers three different Turnitin experiences - Turnitin within Canvas SpeedGrader, the classic Turnitin interface, and the new Similarity and Feedback Studio. We'll go through each one so you can choose which version works best for your needs. We'll also cover rubrics, QuickMarks, and other feedback tools in both the classic and updated versions. Come explore how each version works and what features can support your grading and feedback goals.
