She offers support, encouragement and direction in the career advising and coaching process to current UNO students and alumni. She plans job search strategies with students and promotes/administers the Career Compass database, career events, career development workshops and seminars, and social media to link job seekers with recruiters and hiring managers.

In the employer relations realm, she works with campus-wide efforts to strengthen existing employer relationships and build new and progressive relationships with employers and recruiters in their employment needs. Collaboration includes: StrengthsQuest, Personal Finance, Enrollment Management, University Success, Student Involvement & Leadership, International Students & Scholars, Alumni Network, and academic/community partners. Under her guidance and leadership, the team engages students in Career Well-Being activities and Career Outcomes: discovering motivation; developing knowledge, skills, and abilities; and aligning skills, habits, and values for job candidates to thrive in the workplace culture and ultimately, peak in their performance. She is a proud UNO Alum, receiving both a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Counseling and a Master’s Degree in Higher Education. Her higher education career includes, Executive Director of Workforce and Economic Development, Director of Continuing and Corporate Education and Recruiting, Career and Job Placement, Managing Manufacturing and Healthcare training programs. Her background also includes Mental Health Counseling/Assessments and Event Planning and Logistics. Her goals are to expose every UNO student to the services and resources offered via Career Services starting with their first year through graduation; Prepare students from freshman through senior year comprehensively for a career after graduation; Actively engage students and employers through networking opportunities, via career events, recruiting sessions, workshops/seminars, panel discussions and direct communications; Engage UNO Alumni with students to serve as Mentors/Role Models and give direct insight into related careers and the job market, participation in panel discussions, workshops/seminars.

Satcha Sanon

Satcha is new to the University of New Orleans Career Services team, but not new to the city itself. On the team, Satcha will be working closely with employers & recruiters and connecting UNO students with on and off-campus opportunities including part-time, flexible, temporary, and seasonal jobs, volunteer work, internships, apprenticeships, and cooperative education positions. Her primary focus is to help students solidify their career goals, aid them in developing a plan to gain hands-on experiences in their chosen field, and guide students throughout the job search process. She will also work collaboratively with the university staff and faculty, and participate in career-related activities with key employers, recruiters, UNO colleges, and academic departments. Satcha will be helping the Career Services Team with the overall mission of empowering and preparing students in their career development and providing them with the resources necessary to be connected with employment opportunities and professional development.
Satcha graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, and discovered her love for education during her undergraduate studies and campus involvement. Upon graduation, she served as an Algebra 1 teacher at Chalmette High School in the Greater New Orleans region, under her commitment for Teacher for America. Most recently, Satcha attained her Master’s degree in Higher Education from Florida State University, where she also served as a Graduate Assistant at the FSU Center for Leadership and Social Change, working closely with. Multicultural programming and student leadership development.
Satcha has a personal passion in helping students not only navigating a college campus, but connecting them with opportunities that they can continue to grow within their passion areas. She hopes that she can help every student at UNO reach their goals and full potential.
Daniel Braud
DXC Recruitment and Internship Coordinator

Daniel is a native of New Orleans and UNO Alumni. As a part of the Career Services team, he partners with DXC Technology to recruit interns and recent graduates for technical positions within the company. Additionally, Daniel manages the UNO internship program and matches UNO students with internship opportunities across the nation while also helping to prepare students for their careers through activities like resume reviews, interview coaching, career fair preparation and much more. Daniel has a passion for helping students fulfill their potential and reach their goals. He looks forward to every interaction where he may have a positive impact on a student.
Alisha Large
Graduate Assistant

Alisha is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Collaboration here at UNO. As a Graduate Assistant in Career Services, Alisha is here to help students and alumni in reviewing resumes, providing assistance in the job search process, and in choosing a college major or career. Alisha also assists the Career Services staff with various career fairs and events. Alisha enjoys helping and learning from others, and is here to listen and provide professional feedback and encouragement as students and alumni prepare to take the next steps toward their careers.
Alyssa Rivers

Alyssa is a Graduate Assistant for the Career Service Center. She is currently working towards her Master's degree in counseling and sees her position as a great opportunity to gain experience in helping individuals achieve their goals. She is available to assist in perfecting resumes, navigating job/internship search, and making important career decisions. Her goal is to ensure each student she comes in contact with feels more optimistic about the future of their career after coming to her for help. She is excited to do all that she can to prepare the students of UNO for academic and career success.
