Test Information
Administration Policies Directions ACCUPLACER Test
UNO recognizes that taking either the SAT or ACT at this time may be challenging. UNO will admit in-state freshmen who apply with a minimum 2.5+ GPA or greater on the Louisiana Core 4. Applicants with a 2.5+ core GPA who do not meet test score requirements, or do not submit test scores will be admitted based on core GPA alone, but will either need to submit the test scores they have or sit for an accuplacer exam for English and Math placement purposes. For any questions please contact the Privateer Enrollment Center at accuplacer@uno.edu.
American College Test (ACT)
If you are a freshman or transfer applicant who has completed less than 24 semester hours of college coursework, you must take the ACT (American College Test) and have your scores sent to UNO (college code 1591). National ACT tests are administered in October, December, February, April, and June each year at regular ACT testing centers.
Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT I)
The SAT I (Scholastic Aptitude Test, UNO college code 6379) may be used in place of the ACT. Test dates are in October, November, December, January, April, May, and June.
