Louisiana Alliance for Minority Participation

The primary objective of the Louis-Stokes Louisiana Alliance for Minority Participation (LS-LAMP) program is to provide minority STEM students with educational enrichment e.g., peer tutoring, summer research opportunities, conference participation, and modest financial support via book awards, GRE preparation books, and summer tuition assistance. Students participate in K-12 and peer tutoring activities. LAMP is funded by NSF and Board of Regents. At UNO, this program has existed since 1995 and is led by Dr. Puri. Participants come from nearly all STEM disciplines.
