Minor in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Administration

Hospitality and tourism is the largest industry in the world, with a huge variety of jobs and career paths. If you enjoy working with people and have a positive attitude, consider a career in HRT! This program is open to all UNO students regardless of the major degree they are pursuing. The HRT minor consists of 18 credit hours of required and optional HRT courses.

Students pursuing a minor in HRT are also eligible for some scholarships and memberships in HRT student associations.

Students must complete 18 credit hours in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Administration with a letter grade of C or better in all courses as follows: Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism 2000 and choose six credit hours from HRT 2020, 2030*, 2050, and 2070. In addition, students must have nine credit hours at the 3000 or 4000 level.

* Students that select HRT 2030 must concurrently enroll in HRT 2035.
