Students participating in the UNO-Guatemala program are housed in homestays. Each student will be assigned to a local family where they will also receive meals each day (two on weekdays, three on weekends). 

Homestays give students the opportunity to practice their Spanish for those with an advance knowledge of the language, but Spanish proficiency is not required. Family stays allow students to have a more in-depth cultural immersion experience.
