Strategic Communications is responsible for planning and executing the University’s emergency communications strategy. In times of crisis, the office deploys time-sensitive messages to students, employees and the broader New Orleans community using a variety of tools including: Privateer Alerts (UNO’s emergency notification system), email, the University website, social media and the news media.
The Office of Strategic Communications oversees the University's official social networks, content generation and engagement for each platform. Our team builds connections among social media administrators campus-wide and is available to assist and train departments on social networking practices.
Silver & Blue Magazine
