The web strategy team is focused on the design, architecture and strategy of the university web sites. Our goal is to apply best practices in web communication to every project in order to engage our key audiences with our website. We will work with departments on strategy, design and content within the framework of the university’s overall communication and marketing goals. Our overall goal is aligned with University Marketing’s, to elevate the University reputation and advance its vision through strategic, integrated communication and marketing initiatives.
We already have a large number of content contributors editing and keeping their pages updated. Are you interested in managing your pages? Let us train you in the new system and you'll be editing right away. We will also be scheduling group training sessions to make it easier to get more people trained. Please watch for announcements.
Edits for updated or incorrect information such as dates will be taken care of as we receive the notifications. We ask that any changes that are not an emergency be held until the page gets moved over to the new platform.
Thank you for your patience in this transition. If you have any questions, please reach out directly to the web team.
The web team has updated the homepage with a fresh new look. The focus of the update was to enhance the user's experience and build on our "future student first" goal. The team monitored how the site was being used and looked at changes within our community along with listening to site feedback to create a new visual experience.
The updated homepage has an improved presentation of our top requested content to the addition of a few new sections, such as "Diversity, equity, and inclusion at UNO." The new page with expanded categories is more reflective of who we are as a University in these changing times.
