Law Student - Louisiana State University
Legal Intern, East Baton Rouge District Defender's Office
"One of the best decisions of my life was obtaining my graduate degree from UNO's Sociology Department. Being taught and surrounded by some of the most intelligent, thought-provoking students and faculty was an enlightening experience. It was here that I decided I wanted to take what I learned about social, racial, and economic inequalities and began a law career to advocate for those who are disenfranchised by such inequalities. In my final year in law school, I work with East Baton Rouge District Defender's Office providing legal services for indigent criminal defendants. I plan on
continuing this work after I become a licensed attorney."
