Dr. Mumford is a core faculty member of the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program at UNO, and teaches courses in program evaluation and public and nonprofit management. He has over a decade of experience conducting program evaluations for foundations and nonprofits throughout the United States. His research explores methods for assessing and improving evaluative thinking and evaluation capacity in New Orleans' nonprofit sector.
Dr. Mumford studies resilience and racial equity in the regional nonprofit sector, including how to assess and build supportive individual and organizational capacities related to adaptive and strategic management, program evaluation, and collaboration, and methods for identifying and addressing racial disparities in nonprofit leadership and funding.
