Dear UNO Community,
The University of New Orleans considers the safety of our campus and those who study and work here to be our top priority. Safety is not the exclusive responsibility of the director of Environmental Health and Safety. Nor is it solely the responsibility of unit supervisors, department chairs or deans. We are all accountable for our own safety and for the safety of those around us. As employees, it is important to understand and follow the safety rules and policies that have been adopted by the University.
In order to help each of us make safety a part of our daily lives, we have compiled a University of New Orleans Loss Prevention Manual. This manual contains basic information needed to promote safe practices and to provide a safe workplace for our employees and academic environment for our students.
Please take time to acquaint yourself with its contents so that we, as a University community, can work to eliminate accidents on campus.
