Completion of the Associate of Arts/Science Louisiana transfer (AALT, ASLT) degree guarantees that the student has met, in full, all lower division general education requirements at the receiving Louisiana public university. Graduates transferring with the transfer degree will have junior status. Courses or GPA requirements for specific majors, departments, or schools are not automatically satisfied by an AALT/ASLT degree.
To assist students in transferring to our University, we have completed a set of advising templates between the two year college and UNO that should assist in a seamless transfer. Students should consult their two-year institution advisors in the selection of courses.
Using the Advising Templates
To take advantage of our advising templates, follow these steps:
- Choose the two-year institution you will attend
- Visit the Louisiana Board of Regents' website to view the Louisiana Master Course Articulation Matrix
- Using the matrix, find courses listed under UNO side and the corresponding course in two-year institution
- Write these corresponding course numbers into the College column on our template
The Office of Admissions at UNO has specific advising templates for students from Delgado and Nunez Community Colleges.
