Congratulations to Dan Harper, Associate Director of Interdisciplinary Studies! He was selected the University of New Orleans "Service with Jazz" Employee of the Month.
Dr. Elaine Brooks, Director of Interdisciplinary Studies says, "On the UNO campus many people know that Dan is the go-to man. His expertise on all advising matters is legendary. I depend on Dan in so many ways with regard to UNO policies and advising changes. Dan serves on the Advisory Council and his decision-making roles on that Council are integral for better efficiency when working with students.
Essentially, everything that Dan Harper does is with an eye towards improving the academic experience for students at UNO. He is a wonderful team member , and is more than well liked by the student workers and staff members he supervises. He is embraced by all as a kind, and extremely dependable force in our offices."
Jennifer Archibald says, "Dan works tirelessly to ensure every student's success. He is always accessible to students, even responding to their questions or concerns on nights, weekends and holidays. It is quite common for IDS students to stop by his office just to say "thank you" for helping with an issue or to share an accomplishment with him. He is well respected among UNO students and is often referred to by IDS students as "the" person to contact campus for those uncertain of their academic direction or simply those looking for a new major."
