Information on Pell and SEOG Grants

Grants such as Pell and SEOG are monies provided by the federal government to assist students pursuing their first bachelor's degree. These funds are not loans and do not have to be repaid unless the student's eligibility changes within the academic year (in which the student was awarded incorrectly) or the student withdraws from the university within a certain period of the semester.

Federal Pell Grants range from $657 to $6,195 for the academic year. This program is awarded based on financial need determined by the federal government. The amount awarded depends on the students’ eligibility assessed through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA).

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (SEOG) range from $200 to $4000 per academic year. Students must be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours and must be eligible for a Pell Grant.

Affordable Connectivity Program

This program is an FCC benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband internet they need for work, school, healthcare, and more. Pell Grant recipients are eligible to receive benefits from this program. For more information visit https://www.fcc.gov/acp
