About

Ph.D., Tulane University, 1977 At UNO since 1979 Professor Whitney taught courses in econometrics and monetary economics. His research has appeared in Econometrica, Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Econometrics, and the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking. While he has contributed to applied theory, his most frequently cited articles deal with theoretical and empirical issues in forming monetary aggregates. He is the editor of The Review of Financial Economics.
