Graduating Fine Arts Seniors Showcase Senior Projects

Graduating fine arts students at the University of New Orleans showcase their work this month in a mixed media exhibition on campus.

The UNO Fine Arts Department hosts an opening reception for "Mixed Bag," A showcase of senior projects, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 12, in the Fine Arts Gallery on the Lakefront Campus. The exhibition runs through Jan. 16.

"Mixed Bag," an exhibition spotlighting the art work of graduating fine art students in painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking and digital media, opens with a reception on Friday evening. The show will run all month in the Fine Arts Gallery on campus.

Graduating seniors will show their work, said Ariya Martin, artist-in-residence.

Works by Tim Autin, Christy Becnel, Crystal Dunn, Jeimy Galvez, Geiten Howard, Rachel Kinberg, Joseph Walker and Mark Wilson will be on display through mid-January.

Graduating students will showcase their senior projects, which are designed to demonstrate student talents and the skills gleaned through four years of hard work.
