UNO Fine Arts Faculty Showcase Their Work in Exhibit Aimed to Inaugurate the Academic Year

University of New Orleans Department of Fine Arts faculty will present their work this month in a group exhibit of visual artwork. The show, entitled “Rejoin” kicks off the 2012-2013 academic year, “rejoining teachers and students” and showcasing department leaders’ professional work.

The exhibit runs from Saturday, Aug. 11 through Sept. 1 at the UNO St. Claude Gallery, located at 2429 St. Claude Ave. The gallery is open Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 5 p.m. for the duration of the exhibit. An opening reception will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug.11.

Artists showing their work include UNO Professor Emeritus Doyle Gertjejansen and Fine Arts Professors Jim Richard, Richard Johnson, Cheryl Hayes and Dan Rule.

Visiting Artists Tony Campbell (showing his work as Generic Art Solutions), Ariya Martin and Aaron McNamee will also have their work on display. Fine arts instructors Jeff Rinehart and Kathy Rodriguez and adjunct instructor Charisse Celino will show their work too.
