Gregorio Hired as Executive Director of University Advancement

Anthony GregorioUniversity of New Orleans President Peter J. Fos announced that Anthony Gregorio has been hired as executive director of university advancement. He will also serve as executive director of the UNO Foundation, succeeding Patrick Gibbs, who recently retired.

University of New Orleans President Peter J. Fos announced that Anthony Gregorio has been hired as executive director of university advancement. He will also serve as executive director of the UNO Foundation, succeeding Patrick Gibbs, who recently retired.

Gregorio will be responsible for the Office of Development, the UNO International Alumni Association, the Nims Center Studios and the activities of the UNO Foundation, including coordinating the activities of the UNO Foundation Board. The UNO Foundation has agreed to fund his position, so there will be no cost to the University general fund.

Gregorio has extensive experience in business and executive management and strategic business leadership. He most recently served as president and chief executive officer of The Standard Companies, Inc., a firm that provides coffee, tea and point-of-use filtered water systems throughout the United States. He has experience in financial and managerial accounting, having served as chief financial officer for The Standard Companies, Inc., as well as senior manager at Peat, Marwick, Main & Co./KPMG in New Orleans.

Gregorio holds a bachelor's degree in economics and political science from Tulane University and a master's in business administration from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. He begins his new position today.
