UNO is Host Institution for International Education Administrators Conference

The University of New Orleans, through its Division of International Education, will serve as an official host institution for the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) annual conference. The conference will take place February 17-20 at the New Orleans Marriott and will attract nearly 700 leaders in the field.

On February 21, UNO will also serve as the host of the post-conference leadership roundtable, a joint initiative of the AIEA and the European Association for International Education. Selected participants from the United States and Europe will engage in a daylong seminar that will address the increasing requirement for strategic leadership and the rising demand for internationalization at higher education institutions worldwide.

Alea Cot, assistant vice president for international education at UNO, will take part in the roundtable along with senior international officers from 25 prestigious American and European institutions.

“International education has been an integral part of the University of New Orleans for almost 40 years and will continue to play a prominent role in its future,” Cot said. “Hosting U.S. and European leaders on our campus is a great honor and incredible opportunity as we strive to enhance our strategic global engagement for the benefit of UNO students and faculty.”
