UNO Hires New Director of Institutional Research and Data Management

Kim OrenThe University of New Orleans has hired Kim Oren as director of institutional research and data management.

The University of New Orleans has hired Kim Oren as director of institutional research and data management, it was announced by James E. Payne, provost and vice president for academic affairs.

"Mr. Oren has extensive experience in developing the infrastructure and database support for institutional research to enhance data-driven decision-making," Payne said. "We are pleased to welcome him to the University of New Orleans."

Oren most recently served as director of institutional research at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn. Prior to that, he was the associate director of institutional research at the College of St. Benedict and St. John's University in Minnesota, and director of college assessment at St. Mary's University of Minnesota.

Oren holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a master's degree in psychology from Illinois State University and he has completed doctoral coursework at the University of Iowa in student development in higher education.

Oren's appointment at the University of New Orleans will begin March 20.
