New UL System President Pays First Visit to UNO

New University of Louisiana System President Sandra K. Woodley continued her statewide tour of the system’s campuses on Friday by paying her first visit to the University of New Orleans.
President Woodley spent the entire day at the school’s Lakefront campus, meeting with students, staff, faculty and administrators. She had lunch with UNO alumni and local business leaders and received a personal tour from UNO President Peter J. Fos.
On Nov. 9, 2012, President Woodley was named the eighth leader of the UL System. She brings to her new position strategic planning and budgeting experience at four other state system offices. Most recently, she served as vice chancellor for strategic initiatives for the University of Texas System.
President Woodley is in the process of visiting all nine UL System campuses. The largest higher education system in the station, the UL System enrolls more than 92,000 students at the University of New Orleans, Grambling State University, Louisiana Tech University, McNeese State University, Nicholls State University, Northwestern State University, Southeastern Louisiana University, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
