UNO Volleyball Team Hosts "Dig for the Cure" Match on Tuesday

UNO Volleyball likes to serve!

The University of New Orleans volleyball program will host its annual "Dig forthe Cure" match at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16 in UNO's Human Performance Center.

Tuesday’s match-up against the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is an opportunity for UNO (7-12) to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness.

The Privateer volleyball team is currently soliciting donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation by asking fans to write checks to the "Privateer Athletic Foundation" with attention to "Dig for the Cure." The squad will then submit a final check to the Komen Foundation at the end of its fundraising efforts. A volunteer-staffed table at the HPC will provide information on breast cancer and all fans are encouraged to wear pink to the match in order to support the cause.

The match-up will be streamed live on UNOPrivateers.com, where statistical updates will also be available.
