University of New Orleans Continues New “Lectures on Liberty” Lecture Series with Global Financial Strategist Peter Schiff

The University of New Orleans continues a new lecture series on moral and political thought this week with a presentation by a renowned global financial strategist.

Peter Schiff, chief executive officer and chief global strategist of Euro Pacific Capital Inc., will give a talk entitled "The Real Fiscal Cliff: How to Spot the Ledge and Protect Your Liberty," at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26 in Room 140 of the Liberal Arts Building. This talk is part of the Tocqueville Project's Lectures on Liberty series brought to UNO by Assistant Professor of Philosophy Chris Surprenant as part of the Alexis de Tocqueville Project on Democratic Ideals. The event is free and open to the public.

Schiff is known for his bearish views on the U.S. dollar and dollar-denominated assets and for his bullish views on investment in tangible assets, foreign stocks and foreign currencies. Schiff also voices strong support for the Austrian School of Economic Thought. He appears frequently on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and the Fox Business Channel. Schiff is the author of six books and his book, Crash Proof 2.0, appeared on both the New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists.
