Ready for Their Close-Up: UNO Students to Appear on Local TV Morning Shows to Promote Social Media Campaign

UNO students Brandan Bonds and Emily Srofe will make appearances on two local television morning shows tomorrow to promote their role in “Follow Me 2 UNO,” the University’s new social media recruitment campaign. They will be interviewed live on Fox 8, WVUE-TV, at approximately 7:20 a.m. and on channel 4, WWL-TV, at approximately 8:40 a.m.

As part of “Follow Me 2 UNO,” Brandan and Emily will try to enlist as many Facebook friends and Twitter followers as they can in order to provide a first-person account of a UNO student. They will post status updates, photos and videos throughout their daily lives as they attend class, Privateer games, student government meetings, parties, campus events and more. Students are the best tour guides, and Brandan and Emily will offer a unique and authentic perspective on college life on the lakefront and in New Orleans.

Brandan and Emily are looking to interact through social media with high school students, parents, other college students, UNO alumni and anyone else who is curious about the UNO experience.
