November 17, 2020 - Weekly Workday Training Update
SIGN-UP IS NOW OPEN for Workday courses offered during the week of November 23 and the week of November 30 by logging into myapps.uno.edu and clicking on the Workday Training tile.
“Workday Navigation” and “Worker Self Service” are mandatory foundation courses for all employees, and the skills taught during these courses will assist users with an overview of Workday terminology, basic layout and features, and how to navigate and update personal information within the new product. We strongly encourage all users to complete the foundational courses prior to taking more specialized trainings.
NEW THIS WEEK: In addition to the Workday foundation courses, more focused training topics are being made available. Although most specialized courses are open for all employees, please review the course description to determine if the subject matter pertains to your specific role at UNO.
Week of November 23 – Worker Navigation and Worker Self Service (This foundational course will be offered on a recurring basis to meet the demand of our large user community. Each user must complete only one session.)
Week of November 30 – Purchasing (Workday Procurement)
Week of November 30 – Authorizations to Travel and Travel Vouchers (aka Travel Spend Authorizations and Travel Expense Reports)
TIPS and NOTES FROM THE TRAINING TEAM:
- Workers only need to complete one section of a course, either the face-to-face course (if available) or the remote Zoom course.
- Each course has a corresponding “Job Aid,” a step-by-step training document located in the course description section of the course catalog.
- Additional trainings will be offered in December that are specific to hiring, timekeeping and managing budgets.
