Dr. Darrell Kruger became the Executive Director for Research & Economic Development at the University of New Orleans in January 2023, when he also became Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Dr. Kruger served as the Dean of the College of Education and Human Development at UNO from 2013-2015. He went on to become Provost at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, which is a role he held for five years. He has nearly three decades of experience as a faculty member, researcher and administrator. A native of South Africa, Dr. Kruger holds a doctorate in geography from LSU.
