About
At UNO since 1989 Dr. Davis has been a faculty member at Iowa State University and the University of Florida and a business dean at three universities, Western Washington University, University of South Alabama, and the University of New Orleans. Since 1981, he has been Editor of Public Finance Quarterly (renamed Public Finance Review in 1997). He has been widely published in journals such as American Economic Review, Economic Journal, Southern Economic Journal, Economic Inquiry, Public Choice, History of Political Economy, International Trade Journal, and American Political Science Review. His research interests are public finance, history of economic theory, and managerial economics. He won the Excellence in Teaching Award by the first class (1996-1999) of the UNO Executive MBA Program.

Public Finance Managerial Economics History of Economic Thought
Dr. Abdel-Rahman served as a visiting Professor at the Institute of Economic Research, Kyoto University, Japan. He presented invited papers at several universities around the world (France, Japan, Taiwan, and U.S.A.). Dr. Abdel-Rahman has published extensively in professional periodicals such as the Journal of Urban Economics, Journal of Regional Science, and Regional Science and Urban Economics. His research interests is in city systems and trade, urban land use, location theory, economic growth, labor market and income disparity, and urban development, urban productivity. He was awarded the 1996 College of Business Administration Researcher of the year Award.
