COVID-19 FAQs for Enrollment Services

Can I be admitted as a freshman for Fall, Spring, and Summer without test scores?

UNO recognizes that taking either the SAT or ACT at this time may be challenging. UNO will admit in state freshmen who do not meet test score requirements, or do not submit test scores will be admitted based on core GPA alone. For any questions please contact the Privateer Enrollment Center at pec@uno.edu.

Are campus tours still available?

Campus tours will be available for small groups and individuals. You can also take our virtual tour anytime where you can experience our lakefront campus here: https://www.uno.edu/virtual-tour

How do I receive my UNO login/where can I find my UNO ID number?

When you were admitted, you should have received an email from Access Services that said “Welcome to the UNO Community”. In that email, there is information on how to set up your UNO username and password. If you have not received it, please email our Information Technology department at helpdesk@uno.edu. Your UNO ID number is listed on your acceptance letter. If you can’t find it, please email the Privateer Enrollment Center at pec@uno.edu with your first and last name and date of birth. Our staff can look it up for you.

If I get new ACT/SAT scores, can I be considered for a higher freshman scholarship?

Yes, if your new scores are received before the priority scholarship deadline and if funding remains available.

Can I receive a freshman scholarship without ACT or SAT test scores?

Yes, but only for in state students and for those who applied on or after April 1, 2020.

I have a hold on my account. What is it? What do I do?

This hold on your WebSTAR account could pertain to many different things – it could be a hold for advising, immunization records, etc. There should be a description listed on your account that explains what it is. For more information, please email the Privateer Enrollment Center at pec@uno.edu with your first and last name, date of birth, and UNO ID number if you know it.

How do I receive credit for my AP or dual enrollment courses?

Please submit your AP score report and college transcript (from the college that you took Dual Enrollment courses at) to transcripts@uno.edu. If you took Dual enrollment courses at UNO, then no need to request a transcript. We can access those grades within our system. At this time, we are accepting unofficial copies of AP test scores and dual enrollment transcripts.

Can I take the AccuPlacer online?

Visit https://www.uno.edu/admissions/accuplacer-test for more information. 

Are unofficial transcripts and test scores accepted? My school can't send the official ones right now.

Currently, we are accepting any unofficial transcript and test scores. 

Where can I send my application materials since offices are working remotely?

All documents – official or unofficial, can be sent to transcripts@uno.edu or mailed to

What do international students need to apply to UNO?

For first-time freshman applicants - we require transcripts, ACT/SAT results. For transfer applicants – we require transcript/evaluation and test scores. For graduate applicants, we require transcript/evaluation and test scores. If you would like more information about the application process, please email internationaladmit@uno.edu.

What are the requirements for the graduate programs at UNO?

Each graduate program have their own specific requirements for admissions. More information can be found here: https://www.uno.edu/academics/grad/programs

My application says that the transcript hasn't been received, but I already sent it/got a confirmation email from my last school. What do I do now?

Please email the Privateer Enrollment Center at pec@uno.edu with your first and last name, date of birth, UNO ID number if you know it, and the confirmation email that your transcript was sent. Our Data Management team can check for you.

What is the status of my application/Have I been accepted yet?

You can login to your application portal with the username and password that you created. You can also email the Privateer Enrollment Center at pec@uno.edu with your first and last name and date of birth. They will be able to check your application status for you.

What are the costs of tuition and fees at UNO?

Where do I order my UNO transcript to send to another school?

This is through the Office of the Registrar. More information can be found here: https://www.uno.edu/registrar/transcript. Please note that UNO transcripts can be ordered online only. All in-person pickups of transcripts have been suspended due to Covid-19.

I cannot get a copy of my immunization records to send to UNO. What should I do?

You do not need to worry about sending these right now. Please fill out the immunization waiver online. More information can be found here: https://www.uno.edu/campus-health/immunization-information. Student Health services will be processing these waivers as they come in.

When will I receive my Cares Act funding for Fall 2020?

Cares Act funding will be distributed after September 9th. For more information or to see if you qualify click here.
