Responsibilities
  • Provide advisory support to the Student Government Association (SGA) and its services according to the SGA procedures, laws, constitution and University policies in coordination with the Assistant Director of Student Involvement & Leadership.  Attend required SGA meetings. 
  • Supervise Captain's Quarters student lounge student employee staff and manage programs and reservations of the lounge. 
  • Assist in processing documentation for the appropriation of SGA funds.  Track encumbered funds from SGA budget. 
  • Ensure compliance of all Student Government documents with State and University regulations. 
  • Update SGA website on a daily basis with minutes, bills, executive orders and other official documents. 
  • Communicate relevant procedural information to students, faculty, staff and other professionals. 
  • Other duties as assigned.  
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, in particular Excel.
  • Personal commitment to working with and supporting diverse groups and individuals. 
  • Ability to understand and interpret policies, knowledge of risk management, experiential learning, assessment techniques, and diversity in higher education. 
  • Comfortable speaking to large groups and excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Capacity to multi-task complex assignments in a fast-paced environment.    
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s in higher education administration, college student personnel, or similar field. 
  • Experience with student governance.
  • Ability to work with university, community, and campus constituents and establishing cooperative relationships with each.
