Responsible for updating and maintaining employee/payroll and grant data in the UNO Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other systems supported by the Payroll and Grant and any other operational team; ensures data integrity; assists with ERP new release and application maintenance; participates in functional testing for ERP upgrades and implementations; creates and provides reports; manages Payroll and Grant reallocations and other processes within the ERP; establishes and maintains organization metrics and analysis as required. Responsibilities in this position includes other duties as assigned including but not limited to FIN, HCR, and Student Success (STDSS) modules of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) and other applications.
Business Analyst: Provide day-to-day support of UNO Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) module/system to include business processes, governance, security and reporting. Create and maintain business case solutions based on effective and efficient business processes.
Help implement informational technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of business processes, tasks, reports and analytical models; evaluating those requirements against current enterprise solutions; translating those requirements with no current enterprise solution to technical developers; and, communicating progress clearly to all stakeholders, facilitators and partners.
Translate and simplify business case solution requirements. Typical deliverables include business cases (requirements to cost benefit), business process maps, test case scenarios, conceptual design for solution (report, dashboard, visualization, balance scorecard, optimization) and configuration proposal/changes. Plan and monitor progress of business case solution. Skilled Business Analysts also use requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests, and manage a project's scope, acceptance, installation and deployment.
Support: Manage the requirements and communication between requester, the functional area and IT. The Business Analyst serves as a subject matter expert on the business process, tasks, and the use of data and business intelligence applications among operational units and college and department users. That subject matter expertise is developed by ongoing interactions with stakeholders to understand their needs, and collaborating with other advancement data stakeholders. Identify and document requirements starting with business process mapping.
Reporting: Conduct requirements analysis for viability and integration of a potential business case solution. This is typically required to assess and validate their activities, and to determine if a solution has fulfilled the requirements including making sure tool configurations are optimally set to support those requirements in areas such as billing, payroll, time tracking, workflow, customer relationship management and other performance management goals. They will be required to work very closely in partnership with their more technical colleagues.

Bachelor's degree in technology or business related field and at least two years of experience with data analysis, data profiling, conceptual and logical data modeling, source to target mapping or data quality design.
Master's degree in technology or business related field and experience with business process mapping using LEAN methodology and familiarity with operational and analytical database concepts.
