Digital Logic and Digital Signal Processing Laboratory
Faculty in Charge: Drs. E. Bourgeois and D. Charalampidis
The Digital Logic and Digital Signal Processing Laboratory resides in room 713 of the UNO engineering building. This lab is used primarily by the electrical engineering curriculum lab ENEE2586 "Digital Logic Lab". ENEE 2586 is required for all electrical engineering students, and is taken concurrently with ENEE2582 "Digital Systems Design". For this lab, students use trainers which include a breadboard, switches, LEDs, a variable frequency clock, and voltage sources. Additionally, the lab contains 15 computers that run software such as MATLAB, Multisim and Quartus (Altera). Students have also access to Xilinx FPGA boards and TI DSP boards.
The laboratory is also used for special sessions and labs for courses such as ENEE 4535 "Introduction to Digital Signal Processing", ENEE6581 "Introduction to Image Processing", ENEE6582 "Computer Vision".
