The University of New Orleans main campus is located in an area of New Orleans known as the Lakefront (sometimes this campus is referred to as the "Lakefront Campus").

Located on the main campus are many buildings, most of which are dedicated to the different curriculums which UNO offers. In addition, there are also several resources for students as well as social gathering places.

Below is a map of the Lakefront campus. For more information about a building, put your mouse over the number of that building and click to be taken to the departmental website. If you do not have graphics capability, the names of the buildings are listed below. The list of names are also linked to the websites of the various departments.

Parking Information

In order to park in any of the general access parking lots on UNO's campus, a vehicle must have a current semester parking decal. This decal should be affixed to the outside of the rear window in the lower left corner. All registered students, faculty and staff may obtain a decal from the University Police in the Campus Police Building room 100.

Hours of operation for Parking Department:

  • Monday - Thursday
    8am - 8pm

  • Friday
    8am - 4:30 pm

Yellow and red lined spaces - Faculty/Staff only
(Note: red reserved lined spaces restricted parking for approved reserved faculty/staff only)

White lined spaces - students (Note: Students may park yellow lined spaces after 5pm, Monday - Friday and all day Sat./Sun. with a current student decal.)

Pay Parking -There are two pay parking lots on campus. One on Alumni Drive next to the University Center and the other on Founders Rd next the the Earl K. Long Library. All students, faculty/staff without decals and visitors are allowed to park in these lots at a cost of $3.00/day.

Directions:

From New Orleans International Airport and points west:

Take Interstate 10 East to Interstate 610 East (left exit). Continue on Interstate 610 East until the Elysian Fields Avenue exit. Turn left onto Elysian Fields. Continue north for about three miles and go just past Leon C. Simon Drive (major intersection). To enter the campus, turn left onto Alumni Drive. A pay/visitor parking lot is available on your right before you reach the University Center (cost $3.00). The Office of Admissions is located in suite 103 of the Administration building on the side nearest the circular bus stop.

From points east:

Take Interstate 10 West to Interstate 610 West. Exit at Elysian Fields Avenue and turn right. Continue north for about three miles and go just past Leon C. Simon Drive (major intersection). To enter the campus, turn left onto Alumni Drive. A pay/visitor parking lot is available on your right before you reach the University Center (cost $3.00). The Office of Admissions is located in suite 103 of the Administration building on the side nearest the circular bus stop.

From points north via Interstate 55 (through Hammond, LA):

Take Interstate 55 south to Interstate 10 East. Continue on Interstate 10 and exit onto Interstate 610 (left exit). Take the Elysian Fields Avenue exit. Turn left onto Elysian Fields. Continue north for about three miles and go just past Leon C. Simon Drive (major intersection). To enter the campus, turn left onto Alumni Drive. To enter the campus, turn left onto Alumni Drive.
