UNO International Students

Required Documents

The following documents are required to complete the application process for all incoming ISEP students.

  • Statement of Financial Support
    • The format of the "Statement of Financial Support" form is for all international students, so the amounts listed and information requested is slightly different from what is required for incoming exchange students. Please use the amounts listed below instead of the amounts listed on the form. 
    • Students may utilize the Statement of Financial Support form, submit official bank documents, or both.
    • Amounts required to show:
        • Regular Exchange Students (Undergraduate and Graduate): Your documentation must certify that you have a total of $7,775.50 for one semester, and $15,551.00 for an academic year (2 semesters).
        • Undergraduate Free Movers: Your documentation must certify that you have a total of $12,202.00 for one semester, and $24,405.00 for an academic year (2 semesters).
        • Graduate Level Free Movers: Your documentation must certify that you have a total of $12,455.00 for one semester, and $24,911.00 for an academic year (2 semesters).
    • This document must show amounts in liquid funds (like a savings or debit account - not a retirement account or anticipated income), and must either be a document stamped and signed by a bank official or an original bank statement.
    • Documentation may show monetary amounts in the home currency or in US Dollars. Exchange rates effective on the day of document review will be utilized.
  • Summary of Educational Experience
  • Proof of English Proficiency level. Students may submit one of the following:
      • TOEFL score documentation. A minimum 79 TOEFL score (Paper Based: 550, Computer Based: 213)
      • IELTS score documentation: at least a 6.5 IELTS score is required
      • Proof of English Proficiency Level form completed by appropriate officials at your home institution. This form may be used if taking the TOEFL or IELTS is a hardship.
  • Immunization Memo and Proof of Immunization Compliance
    Please visit the UNO Student Health Services website for more information. This document can be faxed or mailed to Student Health Services, and a copy should also be emailed to ISEP.
  • Letter of recommendation from at least one professor or academic advisor
  • Letter of intent
  • Official transcript from your home university (A student must have a GPA of 2.25 or higher cumulative GPA as calculated by our Admissions Office.)
  • Photocopy of the Title Page of your Passport (uploaded to our application system)
