The project provides crucial hands on manufacturing as well as engineering report writing experience, which are two of the top three criteria that employers consistently look for when employing engineering graduates. The principal scope of the project is to design and build a one person, four-wheeled all-terrain vehicle that must pass stringent safety specification, yet be robust enough to handle the rigors of off-road competition. Students must work as a team to design, build, test, promote, and race the vehicle in national competition.
