UNO Career Services

The UNO Career Services office is a centralized career resource for UNO students. The office focuses on experiential education through the development and coordination of applied and meaningful work experience for students.  The UNO Counseling and Career Center sponsors or co-sponsors all career days and job fairs at the University of New Orleans.

An internship is a supervised work experience that supports a student's academic career. Internships are generally short-term (one or two semesters). They can be paid or unpaid and are generally part-time, but can be full-time employment in some circumstances. Internships provide "real world" applications of what they have learned in the classroom. Academic credit may be awarded at the discretion of students' academic departments. An internship placement is an excellent way for the company to "test drive" potential employees and to meet the company's human resource need in a cost-effective manner.

Business Career Coaching Center

The University of New Orleans College of Business Administration now has its own self-funded career center, the only career center unique to a college in a state-run university in Louisiana.
