U.S. Navy (NAVSEA) Live Stream SBIR-STTR Topics Workshop

The Louisiana Technology Transfer Office In conjunction with the MIST Program and the University of New Orleans

This is an opportunity to learn how your innovative ideas and research efforts/capabilities, whether a technology or service – can be funded and delivered to the U.S Department of Defense.  The U.S. Navy invests some $350 million of funds every year in innovative ideas.

The state of Louisiana FAST (Federal and State Technology) Program, through the LA Business & Technology Center/LSU are sponsoring a Navy Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer workshop, hosted by the University of New Orleans Office of Research & Economic Development and supported by the University of Southern Mississippi’s MIST (Marine Industries Science and Technology Program).

This event is being live-streamed to a select number of locations nationwide, one of which is the University of New Orleans.

  • A 3-hour webinar on the NAVSEA SBIR-STTR Program and topics
  • A NAVSEA SME (Subject Matter Expert) in-person at the event to answer questions and offer one-on-one sessions.
  • Information on local Navy-related technologies, including Stennis Space Center and industries, such as Huntington-Ingalls Shipbuilding.
  • Presentation by state SBIR-STTR program officials on local resources to support your proposals.
  • Opportunities to learn about UNO research areas for collaboration.

NAVSEA areas include Littoral Combat Ships, Submarines, Integrated Warfare Systems and more.
