Board of Regents Support Fund Programs (not currently open - will reopen in the fall)

Each of the programs listed below has different discipline eligibility requirements, most change each year. The upcoming discipline eligibility lists are located on this document: Support Fund Discipline Eligibility. Specific fields within each discipline can be found on the Discipline Taxonomy (extracted from a Board of Regents Request for Proposal).

Awards to Louisiana Artists and Scholars (ATLAS)

Purpose: Support for major scholarly and artistic productions with potential to have a broad impact on a regional and/or national level

Reporting requirements if funded: Upon project completion – progress report

 

 

Enhancement (ENH)

Purpose: Enhance the infrastructure of academic, research or agricultural departments or units and to promote economic development.

  • Narrative Outline (link will be provided when RFP is issued)

Reporting requirements if funded: June 30th – annual or final report submitted in LOGAN

 

 

Graduate Fellows/Graduate Fellowships for Teachers

Purpose:  Recruit superior graduate students to elevate performance of department/unit and to promote economic development in the state.

  • Sample Rating form for Graduate Fellows (link will be provided when RFP is issued)

Reporting requirements if funded:

  • October 1st, first year of award – Report of Results of Recruitment Activities and Information on Students Recruited and first Status Report
  • January 31st and October 1st each year until end of award – Cumulative Status Report
  • May 30th each year until last year – Annual Progress Report
  • July 31st of last year – Final Project Report

The Status, Progress and Project reports are completed on BoR provided forms; each report also requires the completion of a provided coversheet.  The reports must be signed by institutional signatures which will be obtained by the Office of Research; the reports are mailed to BoR by the deadline.

 

 

Research and Development Programs: Industrial Ties Research Subprogram (ITRS) and Research Competitiveness (RCS)

Purpose: RCS - build and strengthen the fundamental research base and competitiveness of Louisiana's universities; ITRS - fund proposals with significant potential for development and diversification of Louisiana's economic base.
