June 6-7  |  June 20-21  |  July 11-12

This two-day program, including an optional overnight stay in our residence halls, will give new freshmen an in-depth preview of campus life at UNO. Each student will be advised by an academic advisor and will register for classes. You must attend both days of orientation to register for classes.

Overnight Accommodations

The Fall Freshmen Orientation Program has an optional overnight stay in UNO's Pontchartrain Residence Hall. Students staying overnight will be able to participate in fun evening activities, including a game show and lip sync battle. They will spend the night amongst our Orientation Leaders and summer Housing staff to get a first-hand experience of on-campus life. Each student staying overnight will share a suite with three other incoming students. There is no fee for staying overnight.

Students attending a Fall Freshman Orientation Program may bring up to two guests at $25 per guest. Please note that we do not offer a parent and guest orientation for transfer students. The fee will be assessed to the student's first semester fee bill. The student, parents, and guests will start the first day together and may have lunch together. At all other times, parents and guests will attend a separate orientation program designed to address their questions and concerns. The family program concludes on the afternoon of the first day. The second day of the two-day freshman fall orientation is reserved solely for the student participant.

All transfer students who have less than 60 hours must attend a one-day orientation program to gain valuable information about the University and the campus and to become acquainted with other new students who are transferring to UNO. Currently, we do not offer a Parent & Family Orientation as part of our Transfer Orientation program.
