Saints and Pelicans President Dennis Lauscha to Speak at UNO’s Spring Commencement

Lauscha is a New Orleans native who has held his current position with both professional sports teams since 2012. He has spent 17 years with the Saints organization.

“Dennis Lauscha’s exemplary career with the Saints and Pelicans as well as his dedication to his hometown through his community involvement are noteworthy,” said President Peter J. Fos. “He has reached the pinnacle of his profession in business and sports management, and I look forward to our graduates benefiting from his wisdom and perspective.”

In his capacity as president, Lauscha oversees financial operations and government affairs as well as marketing, ticket and suite sales, legal, stadium, community affairs, human resources, information technology and facilities departments. He’s also one of the Saints’ representatives at the NFL Owners Meetings.

In addition to his duties with the Saints and Pelicans, Lauscha maintains a management role in New Orleans FOX affiliate WVUE-TV and Zelia, LLC.

Lauscha has been involved with numerous initiatives, including an NFL working committee for league financial reporting and a working committee for disaster preparedness. He has also completed the NFL Managers Program at Stanford University's Executive Education Graduate School of Business.

Active throughout the community, Lauscha currently serves on the Visiting Committee of the Loyola University School of Business, the NBA’s Team Advisory Council of Presidents, the NBA All-Star Game Host Committee, the Stuart Hall School Board of Trustees, the Louisiana Museum Foundation Board and the New Orleans Museum of Art Board of Trustees. Lauscha has completed terms as board president of the Preservation Resource Center, president of the regional chapter of the Boy Scouts of America and as a member of New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu’s Blight Transition New Orleans Task Force and of the Super Bowl XLVII Host Committee.

After graduating from Jesuit High School, Lauscha received a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Alabama. He also earned a master’s of business administration from Loyola University New Orleans and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining the Saints, Lauscha worked as the club's auditor for four years while working for a national accounting firm.
