Join Us!

The exhibition "environmental scanning" runs from Saturday, Sept. 13 to Saturday, Oct. 5, at the UNO St. Claude Gallery, located at 2429 St. Claude Ave., New Orleans, 70117.

The opening reception, at which the artists will be present, will last from 6 to 9 p.m.

Regular gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 5 p.m.

This show features the work of two artists, Katharina Cibulka and Nicole Weniger, from Innsbruck, Austria.

Together, their work examines the impact of the environment on human identity and behavior and "the human behavior which is born of that impact," according to their artists' statement. The UNO Department of Fine Arts and Center Austria have collaborated since 2000 to send artists from the Fine Arts program to Innsbruck and send Innsbruck artists to UNO to exhibit their work, and facilitate global opportunities for our artists.

The exhibition will open on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the gallery, located at 2429 St. Claude Ave., New Orleans, 70117. The opening reception, at which the artists will be present, will last from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibit will be on view until October 5, 2014. Regular gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 5 p.m.
